About Harmony In Art

Art shapes the world around us … it informs for good or for ill. Which would we rather? — Sarah Ahmadi

Harmony in Art is a dialogue intended to create a community that is dedicated to the goal of employing Art in an effort to comment on, and positively impact, for social change.

Art is more than “pretty pictures” that we hang on the walls of our living room; it is more than listening to the symphony or the opera. In fact, art is found in everything that is around us. Every element of our daily life is an expression of art and our personal preferences for that which we choose to embrace. It’s the colour of paint that we select for our bedroom and the design of the sheets that we lie on each evening. Art is the selection of flowers that we plant in our garden, the perfume that we dot on our wrists. The restaurant that we frequent; the clothes that we purchase; and the game apps on our smart phones are all expressions of art.

If we seek to know ourselves and to know the world, the dialogue on Art is a vital part of our journey. Join us and be a part of this community!
